How to manage integrated resident data in resvu with hybrid accounts

Updated over 2 months ago

Goal

This article will show you how to manage data for imported resident accounts in the resvu admin portal and explains how hybrid accounts behave after being edited.

Before you get started

Your admin account must have permission to manage residents. To check this, navigate to:

Settings ➡️ Admins ➡️ Edit your chosen admin ➡️ Select Roles & Permissions ➡️ Scroll down to Residents ➡️ Ensure that resident management has full access selected.

Accessing imported residents

Step 1 – Navigate to residents
From the admin portal, select Residents, then select Users.

Locate the resident you want to manage in the table. You can use the filters and search features to make this easier.

Step 2 – Confirm the resident source
Check the Source column. If the resident account's data has come from the integration partner platform, this will show imported

Editing an imported resident

Step 1 – Open the resident profile
Select the eye icon next to the resident to view their profile.

Step 2 – Edit resident details
In the top-right corner of the resident profile, select Edit.

You can edit the following details:

  • first name

  • last name

  • mobile number

Step 3 – Save changes
When you have finished making changes, select Save in the top-right corner.

Return to the residents table to confirm the updates have been applied and that the source column is now showing as hybrid

Understanding hybrid accounts

Resident data displayed in resvu (not the integration partner) will appear on any communications or emails sent to the resident.

Ongoing management
Once a resident becomes a hybrid account, changes made by the integration partner will no longer update the resident record for:

  • first name

  • last name

  • mobile number

All future updates must be managed directly in resvu.

Levies

Levy notices and levy-related information are not impacted by hybrid resident accounts and will remain unchanged.

Lot ownership changes
If a lot is sold or ownership changes, the hybrid resident account will lose its association to the lot and will automatically archive.
The new resident will import as a new resident account and will not be a hybrid account.
