How to archive community members without losing historical data

Updated this week

Goal

In this article, you’ll learn how to archive residents within the Resvu system. Archiving a resident will remove their access while keeping their records stored for future reference.

Before You Get Started

You will need to have the correct permissions set in order to archive residents. To check this, navigate to:

Settings ➡️ Admins ➡️ Edit your chosen admin ➡️ Select Roles & Permissions ➡️ Scroll down to Residents ➡️ Expand Residents and ensure that Residents Access has full access selected.

Accessing the Residents Section

Step 1 - Navigate to the Residents Section

In the Admins section, click on Residents. From there, select Residents.

Archiving Residents in bulk

Step 1 - Select the Residents to Archive

In the Residents table, select any rows representing the residents you want to archive.

Step 2 - Archive the Selected Residents

Click the three dots at the top right of the table, then select Archive Residents.

Archive Individual Residents

If you prefer to archive a single resident, click the three dots in that specific row and choose Archive.

Archiving Residents via integrated system

If you archive residents in Stratamax or Property IQ, the changes will automatically sync overnight in Resvu and archive the Resident.

This includes change of owners, the new owner will be added into Resvu and the old owner will be archived.

Accessing Archived Residents

Use the filter at the top of the table to display Archived Residents.
