Goal
This article shows you what options are available to an admin to manage residents and messages in the community wall.
Before you get started
You will need to have the correct permissions set in order to manage community wall To check this, navigate to:
Settings ➡️ Admins ➡️ Edit your chosen admin ➡️ Select Roles & Permissions ➡️ Scroll down to Resident hub➡️ Expand Resident hub and ensure that Community wall has full access selected.
Admin posting in community wall
Step 1 - Let's begin
Login to the admin console and navigate to Resident hub ➡️ Community wall. Here you will be presented with all the posts across all communities.
Step 2 - Making a post
Click on the new post button in the top right
Then select the which communities will see the post. Add in the message of the post and upload any images relating to the post
Step 3 - Post the message to community wall
Once you have entered in the information press submit
It will now appear under community tab
Note: you can also reply to messages by pressing the reply icon and it will follow similar logic as making a new post
Blocking a resident
Step 1 - Let's begin
Login to the admin console and navigate to Resident hub ➡️ Community wall. Here you will be presented with all the posts across all communities.
Step 2 - block the resident
Press the 3 dots on the a post the resident has made and then click block user
Then select what you want to block the resident from doing and press confirm
They will then appear under the blocked users section
Hiding a post
Step 1 - Let's begin
Login to the admin console and navigate to Resident hub ➡️ Community wall. Here you will be presented with all the posts across all communities.
Step 2 - hiding a post
Find the post you wish to hide and press the hide icon
Step 3 - Notify the resident
Add a reason as to why this post is being hidden, this will then send an email to the resident.
Once sent the post will become hidden from residents viewing community wall through the app
