Create Venues

This article shows how you can create a venue for resident reservations.

Goal

The goal of this article is to show you how to create venues, venues are great for enabling Residents to reserve/book community related amenities

Before you get started

You will need to have the correct permissions set in order to create venues. To check this, navigate to:

Settings ➡️ Admins ➡️ Edit your chosen admin ➡️ Select Roles & Permissions ➡️ Scroll down to Concierge➡️ Expand concierge and ensure that Venues has full access selected.

Creating a Venue

Step 1 - lets begin

Login to the admin console and navigate to Reservations ➡️ Venues ➡️ Click New Venue button in the top right

Step 2 - Adding description information

The new venue will require a description about the venue, you will need to fill out the following mandatory fields

  • Title: the name of the venue

  • Description: what is the venue for and why would the residents use it

  • Communities: here is where you select which communities to show the venue in

  • Target audience: who has permission to submit reservations using this venue

  • Main image: A picture of the venue

Step 3 - Setup venue availability

Next we need to setup when the venue will be available for bookings in the Time settings. The following fields allow you to customise the availability to suit your needs:

  • Open time: When the venue begins to be available to make a reservation

  • Close time: When the venue stops being available to make a reservation

  • Specific Open/Close times: enables each day of the week to have different opening and closing times

  • Limit duration of reservation: Sets a time limit on how long the venue can be reserved for

  • Limit on notice given for reservation: sets a required notice period to be given in order to reserve the venue

  • Limit reservations per user/per calendar period: sets the frequency a resident can make a reservation for the venue

Step 4 - setup any authorisation

The final step is to setup any requirements of the venue using the following fields:

  • Are reservations disabled: Toggle this on to temporarily disable the ability to reserve the venue.

  • Has terms of use: setup Terms of Use that must be agreed to in order to make a reservation.

  • Display on App: Will this venue be visible and accessible on the resident app, or will only admins be allowed to create reservations.

  • Approval is required: An admin is required to approve the reservation

Then once completed press the save venue button
