Goal
Learn how to manage and review Committee Hub topics, including discussions and votes.
Before You Get Started
You will need to have the correct permissions set in order to manage Committee Hub topics. To check this, navigate to:
Settings ➡️ Admins ➡️ Edit your chosen admin ➡️ Select Roles & Permissions ➡️ Scroll down to Committee Hub ➡️ Expand Committee Hub and ensure that Topics has full access selected.

Accessing topics
Step 1 - Navigate to Committee Hub
Click Committee Hub in the left-hand menu.
Step 2 - Select topics
Click topics from the Committee Hub menu to view all active items.
Understanding the topics table
Each topic displays key information in the table so you can review activity at a glance.
Latest activity
The latest activity column shows when the most recent activity occurred for a topic.
A green indicator shows there is new activity you have not viewed yet.
Topic ID
An ID is generated automatically when a topic is created.
Community and title
The table shows the community the topic relates to and the topic title.
Topic details
The table can also display:
Community manager
Tags
Created date
Expiry date
Follow-up date
Created by
Engagement
The engagement column shows how many comments a topic has.
If the topic includes a vote, an indicator shows how many votes have been cast.
Topic actions
The three dot menu on each topic row includes actions such as editing or closing the topic.
Filtering and exporting topics
Filters appear at the top of the topics table.
You can filter by:
Community
Keywords
Tags
Community manager
Expiry date range
Follow-up date range
You can export the topics table as a csv using the export option in the top-right corner. The export will reflect any filters you have applied.
Topic overview
When you open a topic, you can review the topic details including:
Title and description
Community
Topic ID
Created date
Expiry date
Current topic status
If the topic includes attachments, you can access them from the bottom of the details view.
Using the properties panel
The properties panel allows you to manage the topic without editing the main content.
Follow-up date and tags
You can set up or edit the follow-up date.
You can assign and remove tags.

Participants
Participants display with a summary of their activity. Click a participant to view their full name, comment count, and vote activity. An involvement rate is shown as a percentage of participation in the topic.
Related items
The related section lets you link the topic to other items in the admin portal.
You can search for an item by name or id and link it to the topic.
You can also create a new item from this menu. New items created here will automatically link to the topic once submitted.
Discussion and activity log
The discussion tab includes an activity log showing what has occurred on the topic, including comments.
You can filter the log by comments or activity.
A download option is available to export the activity log and whether internal comments are included.
You can add an internal comment, or post publicly by disabling the internal toggle. You can also attach files to comments.
Votes
If the topic includes votes, the votes tab shows each vote and its settings.
A topic can include more than one vote.

Vote details can include:
Vote question
Vote settings, such as anonymous voting or allowing vote edits
Audience overview and indicators showing who has voted
If a committee member has not voted, you can vote on their behalf using the three dot menu next to their name.
If a committee member has already voted, there will be a green indicator next to their name
You can download a vote as a pdf from the votes tab.
Outcomes and exporting a topic
The action menu includes options to export the full topic as a pdf or write the outcome.
You can write your own outcome or use generate draft to create a neutral summary using AI.
You can also edit the draft before confirming it. Once confirmed, the outcome appears in the details tab.
