Goal
To demonstrate where to find communication logs, and how to use the logs to find out what was sent out, how and to whom.
The logs dashboard
To see the logs dashboard navigate to Communicate ➡️ Logs (under the Manage heading).
The dashboard includes a number of filters at the top to help find precisely what you need. The filters include:
Community: Filter to one or more specific communities.
Search: Filter against the notification title. Works as a 'contains' so any match in the notification title will show.
Dates: Will filter to all notifications published between the dates you choose.
From: Filter to one or more users who issued the notification.
The From filter requires one community to be selected. Other filters will work independently. It will not work with two or more communities selected.
Category: Drop-down list of specific feature-based communications. Allows you to broadly filter down to a category of notifications, such as concierge related ones.
Type: Drop-down list to filter on the 'medium of the message'. Email, SMS or push notification.
The dashboard itself is broken up into columns of the most useful information, to help you find the right notification. Each row can be drilled into for further details, but the columns available include:
Date: The date when the notification was issued.
Time: The time the notification was issues.
Date and Time are shown in your local time.
Notification title: The heading or title of the notification.
From: The email address of the publisher.
Recipients: Named 'bubbles' for recipients will show and clicking them will show further details about the recipient; the ellipsis will show all other recipients and allow drilling into further details.
Category: Coloured tag highlighting which category this notification belongs to.
Type: What medium (email, SMS, push notification) this notification was issued from.
Exporting the dashboard view
In the top right of the dashboard there is an Export button which will generate a CSV of your current, filtered dashboard view. The recipients will show as a comma-separated list of names.
Drilling in for further details
At the end of each row on the dashboard is an eye icon. This allows you to drill in to see further details for each notification, just click on it.
In addition to the information seen on the dashboard, the detail view will show the notification contents and allow you to search through the recipients.
It also shows whether the notification was successfully sent to a recipient, if they have read it and finally when they last read it.
Dashboard view controls
As with all dashboards in the Resvu platform you can adjust how much information you see; and navigate between any subsequent pages. You can opt for 10, 20, 50 or 100 rows per page.
Finally, the < and > allow you to navigate backwards or forwards one page at a time, whereas the |< and >| will jump to the first or last page respectively.
