Goal
This guide will walk you through how to connect Stripe to Resvu, enabling in-app payments for workflows and reservations.
How Stripe and Resvu connect
Before you start, it helps to know how the accounts fit together:
Your Stripe account (the parent) – the account you create at stripe.com. Your business and bank details live here. You only need one.
Your connected account (the child) – created when you click Connect with Stripe in Resvu. It sits underneath your Stripe account and links it to your Resvu account.
Your Resvu account – where residents and committee members pay in the app.
Setting up a connected account is not setting up a new Stripe account. When you click Connect with Stripe, log in to your existing Stripe account. Stripe will then ask you to fill in details for the connected account. This is expected – the connected account is a child of your existing Stripe account.
Before you begin
Make sure you have:
A Stripe account already created at stripe.com (this will be your parent account)
The correct admin permissions in Resvu
To check your access:
Go to Settings ➡️ Admins
Click Edit on your chosen admin
Select Roles & Permissions
Scroll to Access Detail
Expand Account and ensure Integrations is set to Full Access
Can't access Roles & Permissions? Reach out your account administrator.
Connecting Stripe
Once your parent Stripe account is created, go to Resvu to begin creating the connected account.
Step 1: Start the setup
Navigate to Settings ➡️ Integrations ➡️ Stripe
Click New Payment Account
Step 2: Enter account details
Name: If linking to a specific community, include the scheme/plan number to make it easy to search later.
Description: If related to a specific workflow or reservation, include the relevant title for context.
At this stage, you can either:
Save & Close (to return later), or
Click Connect with Stripe to proceed.
Step 3: Log in to your parent Stripe account and set up the connected account
Log in with your existing Stripe account (the parent account).
Follow the Stripe prompts to set up the connected account.
Once successfully connected:
The Stripe payment account will be available for use within workflows and reservations.
Residents and committee members will now be able to make in-app payments via your connected Stripe account.
What you'll see in Stripe
In your Stripe dashboard, your Stripe account appears at the top as the parent, with your connected account listed underneath.
Have more than one Resvu account?
Repeat Steps 1–3 in each Resvu account, logging in to the same parent Stripe account each time. Every Resvu account gets its own connected account, and each one sits under your one parent Stripe account.
Once you've connected your Stripe account to Resvu, you may want to better understand how Stripe works in the background - including payouts, reporting, and account management.

Getting started with Stripe
If your business manages multiple strata schemes, you will need to set up and connect seperate accounts for each scheme. This allows for cleaner reconciliation, reporting, and separation between buildings or portfolios.

Note: Resvu does not own your Stripe account. Resvu simply facilitates payments through that connection and does not access or manage your funds.
